Fans Say Taylor Swift Is ‘So Iconic’ as She Catches Raindrops on Her Tongue During Eras Tour Show

Fans are declaring Taylor Swift “so iconic” after catching sight of the pop star enjoying the first rainy concert of her Eras Tour’s European leg.

Swift has been photographed beaming while onstage during rainy shows in the past, suggesting she loves the added element that the weather brings to her performance and her audience’s experience. Ahead of her first night in Lyon, France, there was fan speculation that they might be treated to another rain-soaked show on Sunday, June 2.

Sure enough, the clouds opened up, and rain began pouring down shortly after Swift took the stage. She was performing “Enchanted” from her 2010 album Speak Now when she briefly paused between lyrics to raise one arm and exclaim, “Rain!” She flashed a huge smile before continuing the song.

Later in the evening, the “Cruel Summer” singer was performing the Reputation era of her show while wearing her go-to red and black outfit, which has come to be known by Swifties as her “snake bodysuit.” Swift, 34, was in the middle of her song “Delicate” when she sang the line, “But you can make me a drink.” She then stuck her tongue out to catch some raindrops before returning to the song.

Footage quickly began spreading online as Swift fan accounts shared video clips of the moment on social media.

“She is awesome,” one fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, as another called the 14-time Grammy Award winner “so cute.”

“Omg she’s so quirky,” one X user said as another said Swift “gets so unhinged during rain shows oh my god” before quickly adding, “i love her.”

“SHE'S SO ICONIC AHHH,” one person tweeted.

“Taylor doing improv with the weather,” another fan joked.

The “Anti-Hero” songstress kicked off her hit international tour’s European leg last month in Paris. She also performed in Sweden, Portugal and Spain before bringing the tour back to France for two nights in Lyon. After her second show at the city’s Groupama Stadium on Monday, June 3, Swift will perform for a few nights in Scotland before bringing her tour to England later this month.
