Fans fear for Miley Cyrus over 'painfully thin' new photo
It’s been a rollercoaster few months for Miley Cyrus, who has gone through two breakups and released a new album.
But now fans of the 26-year-old Slide Away singer have aired their concerns for the former child star, after she posted an image to her Instagram account.
Miley can be seen posing in front of red rock in Utah, alongside the caption: “But if you look at me closely ... you can see it in my eyes .... this girl will always find .... her way.....”, which are lyrics from Britney Spears’ song, I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman.
However, while Miley might be enjoying some family time with her sister, Brandi Cyrus and her mum, Tish Cyrus, fans have been focusing on something else in the stunning snap.
“Someone get her some food,” one person said, while another person said Miley looks ‘painfully thin’ in the snap.
“You are too skinny my girl. Eat something,” another commenter said, with another fan chiming in saying: “We can almost see through you”.
However, others slammed the haters for commenting on Miley’s weight, saying she’s always had a slim frame.
“Stop saying that she needs to ‘eat more’ and that she’s ‘too skinny’’. Skinny-shaming is just as hurtful as fat-shaming,” one fan said.
“Can we stop the skinny shaming....I look about the same size as her and I eat all day. If I hear geez eat a burger again I'm gonna go crazy... Some people are just naturally smaller. If you wouldn't say it to an overweight person don't say it to anyone,” another person commented.
Miley's rocky 2019
There’s no doubt Miley’s been through a lot over the past few months.
In August, the singer announced she was splitting with her Australian husband, actor Liam Hemsworth, after less than a year of marriage.
Just days later, she was spotted getting cosy in Italy with Brody Jenner’s partner, Kaitlyn Carter, however they split after just six weeks of dating.
