Fans Call Out Kim Kardashian for 'Ridiculous' Clothing Resembling North West's 'Lion King' Costume

In late May, critics slammed Kim Kardashian's daughter, North West, for her performance in a Lion King 30th anniversary celebration. Fans defended the 10-year-old against nasty online remarks. But now, folks online are taking aim at Kim herself after she shared photos of herself wearing clothing resembling North's costume.

On Tuesday, June 4, the SKIMS founder took to Instagram with a carousel of photos of herself rocking outfits that looked similar to the Simba ensemble her daughter donned on May 24.

"kk in erl," Kim captioned the update, revealing she was wearing pieces from the luxury fashion brand, ERL.

A quick look at the company's website reveals that the 43-year-old wore ERL's California Shearling Coat ($8,700) , Shearling Chaps ($28,000) and Shearling Messenger Bag ($1,850), among other pieces.

Immediately, many Instagram users compared Kim's outfits to North's Lion King garb. One person joked, "I thought this was the Lion King costume."

"Okay but her wearing this after her daughter completely butchered the role of young Simba is just hilarious 😂," someone else wrote."

Another person commented, "You really can’t let anyone have their moment," while a different Instagram user echoed, "Imagine paying to let your daughter have a moment then not letting your daughter have a moment."

"So it was just a promotional stunt…" yet another accused.

Meanwhile, yet another follower declared, "So Kourtney [Kardashian] was right 😂."

In addition to the Lion King comparisons, others thought Kim channeled the energy of a certain Sesame Street character.

"What in the sesame Street Big Bird is going on here," one Instagram user declared.

Another wondered, "Hmmmmmm 🤔 , is that the big bird summer look ?🤪🤪😜."
