Fans Call ‘DWTS’ Stephen Nedoroscik a ‘Walking Green Flag’ After Olympian’s Sweet Gesture for His Grandma

Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik's moves made a big impression on Dancing With the Stars viewers during the season premiere—but he's also winning hearts when he's not onstage.

Nedoroscik, 25, and his DWTS partner Rylee Arnold scored a 21 out of 30 for their dance to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now" on the Sept. 17 episode, with Nedoroscik—also known as "Pommel Horse Guy"—wearing a short-sleeved black-and-white striped shirt with black pants.

In a video shared on Instagram, Arnold revealed that Nedoroscik's shirt required minor alterations before the performance...which resulted in an unlikely memento for the athlete's grandmother.

“Steve’s original jive shirt was a little long, so we had to cut the sleeve because I wanted it to be short-sleeved,” Arnold, 19, said in the clip. “So, Steve asked the costume people to let him keep what they cut off for who?”

"For my grandma," answered Nedoroscik.

“She’s a big fan of the show,” he explained. “It was kind of her dream that I was on it.”

"Oh my god! I cried that’s so cute!” Arnold said from behind the camera.

"We need to protect Steve at ALL costs," the dancer captioned her post.

"Seriously! We love a guy who loves his grandma," agreed a second person.

"You guys should be called 'Team Pure'. I just can’t with the cuteness from you BOTH!" gushed a third Instagram user.

Nedoroscik was the first celebrity cast in DWTS Season 33. At the time, he talked about the possibility of combining his gymnastics skills with his dance moves.

"I want to bring some flares, maybe a backflip or a handstand. I want to have fun with it," he said.
