Is Katy Perry's Song '1984' Aimed at Taylor Swift or What?

Katy Perry has reportedly registered a track titled 1984 with her record label BMI, presumably a diss track in response to Taylor Swift's < href="/famous/news/a/28067421/taylor-swifts-bad-blood-video-is-here/" target="_blank">Bad Blood.

Though Taylor Swift - whose album is titled 1989 - has never confirmed Katy is the subject of her hit Bad Blood, she has certainly dropped enough hints over the past year.

Speculation about the high-profile feud began when Taylor spoke to Rolling Stone in September 2014 about an unnamed female artist who "did something so horrible" that it led to the pair being "just straight-up enemies".

Taylor went on to clarify that the rift "wasn't even about a guy," (she and Katy have both dated John Mayer). According to the Shake it Off singer, the anonymous star "tried to sabotage an arena tour" by poaching staff from under her.

Katy fuelled speculation that Taylor was indeed talking about her with a cryptic tweet, which was posted around the same time as the interview.

If this really is Katy's response to Bad Blood, we could only hope that the music video will be just as epic.
