She hit the big-time with her small-screen venture Homeland, but actress Claire Danes’ first movie in five years could head straight to DVD in the UK after failing to win over audiences in the US.

Teen drama As Cool As I Am was meant to be her big comeback, so Claire, 34, is crushed.

“[Claire’s] disappointed, to say the least,” says a friend. “She chose the film carefully and wanted a hit, but unfortunately has been left with a turkey.”
