Married at First Sight contestants Tamara Joy and Billy Vincent have admitted to engaging in a flirtatious relationship during and after the series, the details of which never made it to air.

The shocking revelations have been told exclusively to Yahoo Lifestyle Australia, with both stars admitting they leaned on each other after failing to find a spark in their expert-arranged relationships.

“Me and Tamara started a little something on the show,” reveals Billy, adding: “She already knew about Dan [and Jess] and she sent me a few messages telling me she wanted to start something”.

“I’m not sure if she wanted to do a full partner swap but I think she had some prior knowledge that Dan was playing up on her.”

But if you ask Tamara, it was actually Billy who started the affair.

“One dinner party Billy got extremely drunk and hit on me,” she reveals when speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle Australia. “He just kept saying, ‘I noticed you from the start Tamara’.

“And Susie’s sitting right in front of us mind you, and I was just like, ‘What do you mean?’ and was trying to play dumb.”

And that wasn’t the end of it.

“I reached out afterwards and Billy was like ‘You and I need to talk’, and that’s where the messages came about,” she explains, adding the fact that Dan’s interest was elsewhere made the decision to pursue Billy a little easier.

“I wasn’t getting any attention from Dan, so yeah, I was kind of baiting Billy a little bit, I’m not going to lie,” she confesses.

“I really got along with Billy and I really found him attractive and I found his sensitive side quite endearing because most guys are like white rice.”

The twosome’s relationship was planned to continue after the cameras stopped rolling, with Tamara intending to visit Billy in his hometown of Byron Bay.

“Afterwards we just wanted to catch up and go with the flow and see if something blossomed – but if it doesn’t, it doesn’t,” she reveals.

“It was never my intention to pursue Billy, I just found him attraction and we had both had our hearts broken on the show.”

However, when the pair reunited at the final dinner, tension had risen to the surface for Billy after Tamara’s affections had gone cold.

“I approached her at the dinner party and just said, ‘I didn’t put myself out there to you, you put yourself out there to me’,” he says of the night’s events.

“She just said ‘Doll, I don’t want another pen pal’.”

Tamara confirms this steamy quip, telling Yahoo Lifestyle the comment was ‘the f**king truth’.

That interaction acted as the final straw for the pair’s would-be relationship, with Tamara admitting they continued to drift after filming finally wrapped.

However, Billy has found luck in love since the show wrapped, admitting his new girlfriend Lily Buhl restored his confidence following his behind-the-scenes fling.

“I have serious trust issues from the show,” he admits, adding: “Some of the women on the show just left me reeling.”
