Eva Mendes and her husband, Ryan Gosling, aren’t taking marriage advice.

On Sunday, October 4, the Hitch actress posted a black-and-white photo of herself on Instagram wearing a dress and choker necklace while running on a beach. But a particular fan’s comment caught Eva’s attention after suggesting how she could better spend her spare time. It all began when the 46-year-old added a quirky caption to the throwback pic, which resonates with many quarantining during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“Went for a run on the beach this morning 🖤,” Eva wrote. “No, I didn’t. This picture was taken at least 15 years ago. Haven’t seen a beach this year. Haven’t been on a run this year. 🖤.”

The snap quickly garnered more than 124,000 thousand likes and over 1,000 comments. Among them was one captured by the Instagram account Comments By Celebs.

“You need to tell Ryan to get you out more,” a fan commented.

Without hesitation, Eva responded right back with her candid thoughts.

“No thank you, I’m good,” she said. “Rather be home with my man than anywhere else in the world.”

While it appears that the comment has since been deleted, the former model’s followers loved seeing her replying to messages. “I love that you answer your comments. [It] shows every person is important to you!” a different fan. “Hope you and your husband get a date night or some time away from the kiddos ....😜.”

Right on cue, the Ghost Rider star wrote back: “Hi!!! I really don’t like social media, what I love is connecting to other women. So, your comment is the best! Thanks for the love. Hope you and yours are well!!!!!”

As for whether or not Eva will go for that run, she’s working on it. “Curious what you’ve been doing for exercise during this time?” a follower asked.

“Well....not much but I finally started to work out with some weights again. Surprising to me, I missed weights!” Eva wrote. “My treadmill broke before COVID hit. So. there went my cardio. Or that’s my excuse anyway. Ha. So, I finally made a commitment to workout out using weights and lots of plyometrics. Plyo really works for me. I don’t enjoy workouts, but I’m committed again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

So, there you have it. Eva is perfectly happy spending her free time as she wishes, with or without Ryan by her side.
