Yahoo Lifestyle Erin Krakow Has News to Share About the Future of 'When Calls the Heart'

It's official, When Calls the Heart fans — we're heading back to Hope Valley!
With season 12 of the hit Hallmark drama wrapping up on March 23, viewers of the series were anxious to know if their favorite show would be coming back for another installment. After much speculation about whether WCTH would get renewed, Hallmark decided they'd clue fans in on the big decision. Posting a video on Instagram while the season 12 finale aired on TV, lead actress and executive producer Erin Krakow announced that When Calls the Heart will be back for a record-breaking season 13 sometime in 2026.
"Psst — I got news," she began in the clip. "When Calls the Heart is returning for season 13, and we are SO EXCITED! We can't wait to get back to Hope Valley to tell more of the stories you love! We'll see you on Hallmark."
Upon seeing Erin's thrilling reveal, fans of When Calls the Heart immediately broke out in excitement online.
"BAKER’S DOZEN, BABY!!!! LUCKY 13 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," one person shouted. "Best news!!! Yay!!! My mom and I are so happy! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Best show ever! ❤️," another exclaimed. "Way to go @hallmarkchannel 🙌🙌🙌, and Erin what a delivery of the news 😁😁. You're excited, Hearties excited, heck we are all excited ☺️☺️😂," a different follower added.
Well, we're certainly elated about this piece of news! And judging by how When Calls the Heart left fans on a cliffhanger, we absolutely need to know what's going on.
As viewers may remember, Erin's character Elizabeth Thornton had another parenting scare when she discovered her son Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich) wasn't responding well to the insulin shots for his diabetes diagnosis. This caused her to make a quick decision and have them travel to Cape Fullerton, where there's a medical lab that could better administer Jack's medicine. Luckily for her, Elizabeth had romantic partner Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) and his daughter Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller) by her side, and the quartet left Hope Valley... with no resolution on if they'll return any time soon.
Needless to say, we'll be anxiously waiting to see what else is in store for our favorite characters.
