Yahoo Lifestyle Elsbeth Sparks With Ioan Gruffudd in Valentine’s Day Episode First Look (Exclusive)
Elsbeth is finding romance on the job!
Valentine’s Day vibes are in the air in the CBS drama’s Feb. 13 episode (airing at 10/9c), which features guest star Ioan Gruffudd (Forever) as a potential love interest for Elsbeth. TVLine has your exclusive first look at the pair’s chemistry, which already has us hoping that Gruffudd’s character isn’t too good to be true.

In the installment — titled “Tiny Town” and directed by co-creator/executive producer Robert King — “sparks fly between Elsbeth and a handsome Scottish musician named Angus (played by Gruffudd) after he witnesses a murder through a video art installation linking Manhattan with his tiny seaside town. The two join forces to solve the case together from across the pond,” reads the official synopsis.
“Elsbeth meets a lot of interesting witnesses in the course of her investigations, but few are as charming and handsome as Angus. They have instant chemistry, but they’re 3,000 miles apart,” showrunner Jonathan Tolins tells TVLine. But from the photo above, it appears this won’t be a strictly long-distance partnership.
This isn’t the first time this season that Elsbeth has sparked with someone while investigating a murder: In an early episode, handsome fire marshal Jake flirted with Elsbeth as they looked into what went wrong during a space training simulation. But alas, she brushed off his advances, explaining to her friend Kaya that firemen have a thing for her because of her red hair.
