“Hi everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for Covid-19,” the talk show host wrote.

“Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines.

“I’ll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay healthy and safe.”

Production on the Ellen Show has been paused until January, producer Telepictures said in a statement that followed the comedian’s post.

‘Get well soon, Ellen’

Ellen’s celebrity pals and fans flooded her Instagram with messages of support and encouragement.

British teen Sophia Grace, who appeared on the show as a young girl with her cousin, Rosie, wrote, “Get well soon Aunty Ellen.”

Ellen’s co-worker and the show’s resident DJ, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, wrote, “Love you much Ellen!”

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Ellie Kemper sent a trio of heart emojis.

“I’m sorry Ellen. Praying for Portia too,” wrote a fan.

“Ellen, wishing you a fast recovery,” added another.

‘Be Kind’ brand is ‘gone’

It’s been a difficult year for the long-time talk show host who has been plagued by allegations from current and former staff about ‘toxic’ workplace culture since March.

In September, after numerous Buzzfeed exposés and an internal investigation by Warner Bros., Ellen finally addressed the scandal at the top of the season 18 premiere.

In her near five-minute opening monologue she spoke fairly openly about the claims and even joked sarcastically about having had a “super terrific” summer break.

Brand and reputation management expert, Eric Schiffer, told Yahoo Lifestyle at the time that despite her efforts to ‘begin a new chapter’ her ‘Be Kind’ brand was ‘gone’.
