There's something about holiday fashion that always makes my inner child happy. The plethora of bows, flouncy skirts, and lush velvet evokes memories of yesteryear—all wrapped up in outfits that make me smile. It's no wonder why Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf—known for her signature headband—is my seasonal style icon. And why actress Elle Fanning's latest look makes me yearn to wear a headband all season long.

Fanning, who is currently promoting her latest project, A Complete Unknown, stepped out in New York City for a press event at the Museum of Modern Art. Naturally, she wore a holiday-appropriate outfit that included a Shushu Tong mint green top and a black A-line voluminous skirt. The actress accessorized the look with sheer black tights and pointy matching pumps. But the pièce de résistance was on top: a thick black flower-print headband.
