The 55-year-old actor, model and swimsuit designer has now revealed the rather bizarre way she keeps herself in tip-top shape — and going to the gym has nothing to do with it.
No gym for Liz
The Austin Powers star's fitness secret is... cleaning.
Yes, Liz told the UK podcast Postcards From Midlife that she "hasn't been to a gym in 100 years" and instead works up a sweat doing rigorous chores in her 13-bedroom Georgian mansion.
With five bathrooms and numerous sitting rooms, the sprawling $11 million property in the Herefordshire countryside would surely keep the mum-of-one busy.
"As you get older, it's harder to keep the weight off if you're not active," she said.
"Even cleaning the skirting boards can burn a lot of calories, there's a lot of things we can do which isn't just yawn, yawn, go to the gym," she added.
Liz's estate — where she spent quarantine with her 19-year-old son, Damian, and her 80-year-old mum — also boasts huge gardens and a private fishing lake, the upkeep of which also helps her break a sweat.
"I'm very active outside all the time, plus I spend my life running upstairs carrying things and faffing, so I think I burn a lot of calories by being active," she explained.
Liz did confess that she found it "very hard" to avoid tasty snacks during lockdown and would only reward herself with sweet treats after going on hikes.
In 2019, Liz spoke about getting her exercise wielding some heavy-duty tools in the great outdoors.
"I don’t work out, per se, but I’m very active. I do a lot of exercise, but it’s really the gardening," she revealed to Extra.
"Cutting down a hedge, using my chainsaw to cut down a tree, logging, all of that sort of stuff I do. So, I’m very active," she added.
