Chambers and Hammer announced their split in July 2020 after 10 years of marriage. The actor has made multiple press appearances recently as he reenters the spotlight following scandals and allegations of abuse, which he has denied.
Hammer also recently revealed that is is downsizing — namely, that he’s selling his beloved 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Pickup truck for a more cost-efficient vehicle.
"Since being back in L.A., I have put about 4 or 500 dollars worth of gas in it, and I can’t afford it. I can’t afford the gas anymore,” the House of Hammer subject, who is the great-grandson of late oil magnate Armand Hammer, confessed in a video posted to his Instagram account on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
Hammer recalled the great memories he made in the truck such as bringing “kids home from the hospital” and other “amazing trips." He added, “But you know what? That’s okay. I got a new car. It’s tiny. It’s a hybrid. I’m probably gonna put about 10 bucks of gas in it a month, and this is it."
“Here’s to new beginnings. It’s my birthday tomorrow," the Death on the Nile star continued, sharing that he will be “starting my birthday in a new car, in a new apartment, in a new life in Los Angeles.”

According to a source, Hammer and Chambers have been co-parenting well together after ups and downs following their split.
"[Elizabeth] was shocked and hurt," the insider told PEOPLE in June. "While she's been rebuilding her life and focusing on her own passions, she also wants what's best for the kids and has been supportive of Armie."
A source close to Hammer said at the time that the actor "wants to prove himself and win back credibility by clawing his way back into Hollywood," adding that the Call Me by Your Name star doesn’t want to be seen as taking favors.”
"He hasn't been leaning on family money or what people might think because he's a 'Hammer,' " the first source added. "It seems like he's really put in the work with treatment."
