Edie Falco’s High School Yearbook Photo Resurfaces Almost 44 Years Later

Edie Falco is nearly unrecognizable in a newly resurfaced photo from her high school yearbook.

Dated 1981, the year Falco reportedly graduated from Northport High School, she would have been 19 or 20 when the black and white snap was taken. Six years later, in 1987, she made her screen debut in Sweet Lorraine.

An Instagram account called Long Island Connection—dedicated, of course, to the New York City suburb of Long Island—dug up a handful of famous natives' high school yearbook photos. They included a 1975 snap of The Nanny star Fran Drescher, an undated snap of George Segal and a 2000 picture of The Princess Diaries' star Heather Matarazzo.

Falco's picture found her in an off-the-shoulder black drape with a v-neck, often seen on women in their senior photos. She wore a delicate chain necklace and a pair of hoop earrings. Meanwhile, her short hair appeared to be much darker than the blond she's rocked through most of her career, though the reflection of the light on her bangs made them appear much lighter.

Since then, Falco has starred in several smash hits, including The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie. She's also no stranger to the Great White Way, Falco her Broadway debut in 1998's Side Man as a replacement cast member.

She later originated the roles of Frankie in 2002's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, Jessie Cates in 2004's 'night, Mother, and Bananas Shaughnessy in 2011's The House of Blue Leaves.

According to her IMDb account, one of her next projects is an untitled sequel to Nurse Jackie.
