Ed Kavalee's savage Have You Been Paying Attention? joke shocks
Australian comedy show Have You Been Paying Attention? is well-known for its tongue-in-cheek and sometimes jaw-dropping jokes.
On Monday’s episode, regular panellist Ed Kavelee shocked audiences with his savage comment about Matthew Perry’s history with alcohol and drug use.
Matthew, who is most known for playing Chandler Bing on Friends, has had two stints in rehab, battling with addiction.
The Canadian actor was brought up on Have You Been Paying Attention? where the comedians discussed the recent Friends reunion special.
Quizmaster Tom Gleisner asked about which cast member David Schwimmer had a crush on while filming the sitcom.
After Marty Sheargold eventually answered correctly with Jennifer Aniston, Ed Kavelee brought the laughs with his quip:
“Matthew Perry admitted that he had a big crush on Dan Murphy.”
Dan Murphy is the founder of popular Australian liquor store franchise Dan Murphy’s.

Matthew has been open about his history with addiction, admitting to BBC Radio 2 in 2016 that he didn’t remember filming three seasons of Friends.
“I don’t remember three years of it,” he said. “Somewhere between Season 3 and 6… I was a little out of it.”
Fans recently expressed fears for the actor’s health after he appeared to slur his words in People’s exclusive reunion interview.
“Hate to say it, but I'm sad and scared like hell for Matthew Perry,” one Twitter user wrote.
“My heart breaks for Matthew Perry,” another said. “You can clearly see he does his best to hide a lot of pain.”
“Everyone needs to leave my boy Matthew Perry alone!” a third fan tweeted.
An insider defended Matthew in the press, saying that he underwent emergency dental work before filming the promo video.
"Matthew turned up to the reunion and members of his team said that he had an emergency tooth procedure that day,” the source told The Sun.
"Obviously no one wants to film after a procedure, but it happened.”
"The feeling was one of huge sympathy for Matthew especially in recent days given how people have reacted online.”
"Matthew has told those around him that he is sober, and there is no need to worry."
