'Eat your heart out Karl': DWTS audience is Team Cass

As soon as she hit the Dancing With The Stars floor last night, Cassandra Thorburn received a standing ovation from the live studio audience within seconds.

It’s clear the crowd was very much #TeamCass as the ex-wife of Karl Stefanovic, who introduced herself as a “human headline”, made her big TV comeback since their explosive split.

Viewers at home were just as supportive of the mother of three, and weren’t afraid to throw some shade at former Today host Karl who was dumped from the breakfast show at the end of last year.

“If only Karl Stefanovic knew #thistimenextyear that his ex-wife would be on a higher rating show than him, and have better career prospects in television,” tweeted one viewer.

“Eat your heart out @karlstefanovic! Cassandra Thorburn is stunning! @DancingOn10 #DWTSau,” wrote another.

One fan tweeted exactly what we were all wondering – did Karl tune in to see his ex-wife shimmy and shake it on the dance floor?

“I wonder if Karl Stefanovic is watching Cassandra on #DWTSAU and what’s going on in his mind?” they wrote.

While Cass received the lowest score on the night, the journalist didn’t let the disappointing result and harsh judge Craig Revel Horwood shake her.
