EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt is entering the I’m A Celebrity castle – and fans are already convinced he’s going to win.

The Ian Beale actor is on hiatus from the BBC soap and it has long been rumoured that he was gearing up for a stint on the reality show.

Fans were finally put out of their misery when his entry was teased at the end of Wednesday night’s instalment of the ITV programme.

He and Corrie star Simon Gregson were seen on thrones as hosts Ant and Dec announced that they would be the Lords of Gwrych Castle.

Speaking before he headed in to the castle, Woodyatt said he’s known for a long time that he was going to be taking part and could not wait to get started.

"Why have I finally said yes?" he said.

"Because I am not in EastEnders! That is the honest answer. I am not in contract with the BBC so I can come and do it.

“Everyone thinks I am Ian Beale and so it’s going to be great to show I am not.”

The actor said although it would be “lovely” to be crowned King of the Castle he doesn’t think it will happen.

“I don’t mind if I am first or last in the castle – I am just really looking forward to being on the show,” said the 53-year-old.

However, fans disagree, and have already pegged Woodyatt as a likely winner.

“King Ian to win,” said another.

"I have money on Ian Beale to win it!" another fan wrote.
