Drag Queen Katya Zamolodchikova Issues 'Sincere Apologies' for 'Despicable Behavior'
Drag queen Katya Zamolodchikova is sending an apology to her podcast listeners.
The RuPaul's Drag Race star, commonly known as Katya, took to social media this week to call out her own "despicable behavior" during the latest episode of her podcast, The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamo—but the apology may not be for what one would think.

In a message posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Jan. 14, Katya wrote, "To the pod listeners: I would like to offer my sincere apologies for all the audible gum smacking in the most recent episode."
"It is never my intention to cause the listener discomfort, pain or distress," she added in the seemingly sarcastic apology. "I regret this deeply, and vow to never again chew gum while being recorded."
But while Katya was admittedly apologetic for the audible chewing sounds, she was not at all sorry for giving her brutally honest opinion on the film Emilia Perez, which she discussed during the podcast episode.

"I sincerely hope, however, that my despicable behavior doesn't invalidate my critique of the movie Emilia Perez, which I firmly and resolutely maintain is the worst movie ever made," she added in her tweet on Tuesday.
"I am sorry, and Thank you," she concluded.
But apparently, not all of Katya's listeners were upset about the loud chewing noises, as one person on X compared it to ASMR.
"I listened to the ending section twice just for the ASMR it gave me," one user wrote, while another person added, "I could listen to you eating pretzels."
"We forgive you queen," someone else chimed in.
