Dr Chris Brown 'horrified' that he's not married yet

Everyone’s favourite Bondi vet, Dr Chris Brown, is back on the market again after 28-year-old Liv Phyland called time on their relationship.

And the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here host admits that being single at 40 is a thought that would have “horrified” his younger self.

“It surprised me how much it got to me,” he explained to Stellar magazine. “It certainly made me look at where I am in my life.

“If you’d told me at 20 I’d be unmarried and without kids, I probably would’ve been horrified. But it’s my doing.”

He continues: “I’ve probably prioritised work more than I potentially should have over the past 10 years — to the detriment of my personal life. I love my life, but it’s not without sacrifice.”

Chris and Liv only went public with their relationship at the end of last year, but in the eyes of his friends and family, it seemed the vet thought he might have found ‘The One’.

However, he seems to hint that distance caused by his current stint South Africa did play a role in the relationship breakdown.

“It’s a lot to ask of a girlfriend, to put up with all the travel and the lack of face time,” he explains to Stellar.
