Dolly Parton Favors Her Signature Sensual Style in Plunging Jacket With Lace Bra Cups for ‘Dolly: An Original Musical’ Event
Dolly Parton opted for a classic black and white colorway at an event for the forthcoming “Dolly: An Original Musical” on Tuesday in Nashville. The venerated country superstar‘s musical debuts this summer in Nashville at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts.
For the fireside chat and press conference, Parton opted for her signature sensual style with extra western elements. The “Jolene” singer wore a maxi black leather skirt with a thigh-high slit and zipper detailing.

Parton added a contrasting tone, wearing a white jacket with three-quarter length sleeves, sharp lapels, a plunging neckline and gold button accents on the cuffs and running down the front placket atop a bow detailing at the base of the piece. The plunging neckline of Parton’s jacket also featured exposed black lace trim detailing.
Parton also wore a pair of black fishnet gloves on her hands, adding an old western style kick to her attire. Her makeup and glam were full of feminine touches, including bright pink long nails, a smokey eye with hints of pink color, a pink lip and voluminous, layered blond hair style.
Apart from her forthcoming biographical musical, Parton’s been busy with ventures outside of the music and entertainment industry. Last August, the Grammy Award-winning singer debuted a makeup line with a few nods to her songwriting style.
“I’ve wanted to be pretty my whole life like most girls, especially country girls that have a dream of glamour. I started creating my own little makeup things at home when I was just a kid, and I’ve been known for wearing makeup — usually too much — for years,” Parton told WWD of the inspiration behind her makeup line.
Among the products featured, Parton dedicated one to her famous tune “Jolene” — a lipstick dubbed “Jolene Red.” The inspiration for the shade’s moniker? “I like to name my products after songs,” Parton said.
“Dolly: An Original Musical” is an autobiographical show about Parton’s life — from her upbringing to her time in the spotlight and more. The show features a series of performances from July to August 2025 in Nashville, before a planned Broadway opening in 2026.
