Doctors fear Lamar Odom is brain damaged

Lamar Odom is reportedly having a hard time communicating in hospital and he can’t recognise friends or family members, at times.

According to TMZ, Lamar can’t recognise longtime friends and even family members when they come to visit.

“We’re told docs believe he’s suffered significant brain damage,” says a source.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has revealed she doesn’t think her brother-in-law Lamar, 35, will ever be the same again.

"He's here and he's alive, but to say it's not a long road and to say he's fully better is not the truth either,” she said in an interview for On Air With Ryan Seacrest.

"He has a lot of work to do and a lot of communication therapy and having to learn to walk again and to talk again. You never know if he'll ever be the same again."

The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star says Lamar has a lot of "communication therapy" to do in order to recover after he was found unconscious at a brothel following a drink and drug binge.

And despite her sister Khloe Kardashian previously filing for divorce from the basketball star - something which she has since revoked - Kim insists Lamar will "always be family" to her and her sisters.

"Lamar is family and he'll always be family, we'll always do what we can to help take care of him, and protect him, and be there for him,” she added.

"It's a really unfortunate, sad situation all the way around the board, and I just encourage people to keep on praying because the road is nowhere near over."
