Of course, ABC’s Doctor Odyssey waited until the literal final seconds of Thursday’s episode to seal the threesome with a kiss — but it did happen. And it was steamy.

But what led up to this moment? A rocky cruise, actually, ending with a man over board.

This week, the ship welcomed a bridezilla (played by country singer Kelsea Ballerini), her mother (The Americans’ Margo Martindale) and their entourage for an over-the-top wedding at sea.

But vows are never read and rings are never exchanged. After suffering from a mental health emergency, the groom jumps ship in the middle of the night, dying by suicide and leaving the ship’s guests and crew rattled.

But in classic Doctor Odyssey fashion, the episode is sure to balance out the dark with the zany and bizarre. Before tragedy strikes the ship, the best man (Gossip Girl’s Kevin Zegers) found himself in bed with a woman facing a serious case of penis captivus — which, despite its name, is not a Harry Potter spell, but the rare condition of a penis becoming trapped during intercourse. Elsewhere, the bride suffered from her own medical emergency. With her head hanging in a bucket, she revealed she had taken a double dose of Ozempic in order to squeeze into her vintage Vera Wang gown — putting herself in danger of liver failure. When she was too sick to attend her own wedding rehearsal, Max and Avery stood in as the bride and groom. (Because here on The Odyssey, that makes complete sense!)

What do you make of Doctor Odyssey‘s new three-way romance? Will the throuple thrive?
