It's about to be a Frozen winter come 2027!

The third installment in the hit franchise will be released in theaters on Nov. 24, 2027, in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The news comes over a year after Disney CEO Bob Iger announced plans to have Elsa (Idina Menzel), Anna (Kristen Bell), and their friends return for Frozen 3 during a call with investors in February 2023.

This is the first update fans have received about the animated musical franchise since Iger shared in November 2023 that a Frozen 4 is also in the works.

Both installments will come over a decade since the first Frozen film hit theaters in 2013. Its sequel, Frozen 2, arrived six years later in 2019.

While the storyline for Frozen 3 has been kept under wraps, Jennifer Lee, Disney Animation's chief creative officer and the co-director of Frozen and Frozen 2, revealed at the BFI London Film Festival last October that she's been "blown away" by what filmmakers have created for the third installment thus far.

“Every morning last week they carved out space for me to work with the creative team on it, and I am blown away and I am so excited,” said Lee, per Variety.

Josh Gad, who voices Olaf the snowman, also teased what's to come in the franchise during an appearance on The View in November.

"I could share things with you, but Disney would literally escort me out of the building with armed security. No, apparently there are two Frozen sequels in development right now — surprise! Equally surprised — and I know Jennifer Lee, who wrote and directed the first two, is hard at work with the team right now, "said Gad, 43.

"I’ve heard a little bit and I can tell you guys, it’s pretty mind-blowing what’s coming. It’s pretty exciting," he continued.

Another thing on the horizon for the Frozen franchise is the upcoming Disney+ debut of its stage adaptation.
