Easily one of the biggest storylines to come out of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was the conflict in Jen Affleck (no not that one) and her husband Zac's marriage. After a number of arguments and difficult conversations, the season ended with the pair contemplating a move to New York, but did it actually happen?
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is Hulu's newest unscripted series (showing on Disney+ in the UK), and focusses on a group of Mormon mums, who went viral on TikTok after one of their members, Taylor Frankie Paul revealed she was part of a soft-swinging scandal that broke down her marriage. The series follows the women navigating their friendships, marriages and careers post the scandal.
Jen Affleck is one of the women part of the MomTok group, and she's been married to her husband Zac for five years, and the pair have two children together. Towards the end of the series, it was revealed Zac had gotten into medical school in New York, but did the pair end up going? Here's what you need to know.
Did Jen and Zac move to New York?
At the start of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives we learn Jen's husband Zac is training to become a surgeon, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.
And then in the last episode of the series, after they've faced difficulty in their marriage (they argued after Jen was surprised with a trip to the Chippendales) Zac revealed he had gotten into medical school in New York.
The pair discussed his acceptance, and Jen questioned whether he should move forwards with his place at the school as she believed it would be hard on their marriage and asked if he should take a year off for them to focus on their marriage.
Jen also questioned if New York would make sense for her as it would stop her taking up business opportunities in Utah with the rest of the group, to which Zac replied, "I don't really care."
At the end of the episode we then saw the couple in Central Park in New York, with Zac saying he was excited to make the move, and Jen again questioned her business opportunities with MomTok and Zac said they weren't "significant". And Jen then added she did think New York would be good for Zac.
And it appears she really believed it, as the pair and their two children appear to have indeed moved to New York.
Across Jen's TikTok and Instagram she's shared a number of videos of herself and the kids moving out from the house they had in Utah and a number of new videos in New York.
Back in August, Jen shared a TikTok of herself with her children in their home, where she can be seen wiping her tears away, before showing a compilation of happy moments in their house. She captioned the video: "Leaving behind so many memories in this home 🥺❤️ It’s bittersweet, but I’m ready for the next chapter. Can you guess where we're headed???"
So if season two of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives does go ahead it would seem Jen may not be making an appearance.
