Yahoo Lifestyle Did Joey Essex End up Buying the House From ‘Selling Sunset’?
Selling Sunset is back on our screens for season eight, and it's somehow managed to be more dramatic than ever. The new episodes dropped on Netflix recently, and they include a surprise cameo from none other than Joey Essex. But did he actually buy the house in LA that Chelsea Lazkani showed him around?
Following on from his stint in the Love Island UK villa, where Joey joined as the first bombshell and made it all the way to the final week with partner Jessy Potts, the 34-year-old also made an appearance in the new season of Selling Sunset.
The docudrama follows a team of real estate agents at The Oppenheim Group, who balance office politics with selling luxury houses in the Hollywood hills and surrounding area.
In one particular episode, Chelsea gives Joey a tour around a property listed for $5.25 million, after telling the listing agent, "My client said one word, hot. He's from London, he's moving to LA, as you know when people move to LA they want to be in the Hollywood Hills with the views and they want to entertain. He's a single lad and wants to impress the ladies."
Cue Joey turning up, asking if there's an inside and outside nightclub, and then proceeding to flirt with fellow O group agent Emma Hernan. Classic reem behavior.
Since the episode, there's only been one question on everyone's lips (no, not why was the whole thing just quite cringe?), but did Joey actually buy the house in LA?
Well, there was no further mention of the former TOWIE star in the Selling Sunset episodes, and there have also been no further reports of Joey relocating to LA. As mentioned, he was also on Love Island this summer, and made no reference to the fact that he was living in America - although he did mention he travels a lot for work.
While his Instagram grid doesn't seem to share any insights into the exact house from the show, Joey did share Instagram posts tagging LA as the location in January, February and March this year. His cousin Chloe Sims has also relocated to LA, a process which was filmed for reality show House of Sims.
So, while it doesn't look like Joey did go for the $5.25 million house, he does seem to spend a lot of time across the pond.
