Everyone is breaking up and frankly we only have so many Hollywood relationships left to live vicariously through (yes, I'm being dramatic, what of it!). Enter Jodie Foster and Alexandra Hedison. They've been together forever, and they're as cute as they are low-key. So low-key, in fact, that you might not know anything about Alexandra. But that's about! to change!

She's a Professional Photographer / Actor

Alexandra is probably best known for Showtime's The L Word, but she's also a successful photographer. Back in 2004 (when she was dating Ellen—we'll get to that in a minute), she told the New York Times, "Hey, I admit that there are times that I can't get a reservation at a hot restaurant unless I mention that it's for me and Ellen. But I have to do my photography because that's my work and it makes me so happy."

Meanwhile, Alexandra says she got into photography while pursuing a career in acting, telling Genius List, "When I started making money as an actor, a friend of mine gave me a little point and shoot film camera as a gift. I started taking pictures and bringing them to a lab that gave me a choice in how I processed the film. When the pictures were developed, I was motivated by the color and composition. I was making money now as an actor, so I could support this hobby. I didn't know how to take a picture. I was self-taught. I started doing it more and more until finally I started showing my work."

They Got Married Back in 2014 After a Year of Dating

E! News confirmed that the couple were together back in September 2013, when a source said "it's pretty serious" and "they're totally in love." Though, Alexandra and Jodie were first linked earlier that Spring, when they were spotted at the opening night of Alan Cumming's Macbeth.

She Used to Date Ellen

Apparently Alexandra and Ellen dated from around 2000-2004. They were super private, but here's a pic:

Her Dad Is Also a Famous Actor

Alexandra's father is David Hedison, best known for playing CIA agent Felix Leiter in not one but TWO James Bond movies: Live and Let Die and Licence to Kill. He's a legend!

Alexandra spoke about how much her dad and mom influenced her photography career to Genius List, saying "My father was an actor, but his hobby was photography. He had a 1960's manual Nikon, which he used all the time. My mother was well read and interested in every subject. In a different time, she would have been an academic. I don't know that she would have gotten married, had kids, and been a housewife. I was exposed to both the right brain and left brain in their approach to life. It was a good collaboration. As I got older, I saw how in many ways it was my father who was more in his head and my mother who was more artistic. There are two sides to every coin."

She's Also a Director

Her movie, ALOK (a documentary short film about Alexandra's friend Alok Vaid-Menon) premiered at Sundance.

She and Jodie Are Extremely Cute About Each Other

First up, there was the time Jodie called Alexandra the "love of her life" while winning the Emmy for True Detective, saying “to the love of my life, Alexandra Hedison, my wife.”

Then there was the time Jodie had her hand/footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre on their 10th anniversary, and said "I love you so much, and I'm so grateful for the life we have together."

Meanwhile, Alexandra never passes up an opportunity to gush about Jodie on Instagram.
