Hughsey outed by stripper on TV after wild bucks party

Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes has recalled how he landed himself in hot water with his wife after an ‘exotic entertainer’ who performed at his bucks party outed him on TV.

The Aussie funnyman, who tied the knot with Holly Ife on New Year’s Eve in 2006, revealed the racy tale ahead of tonight’s episode of his panel show, Hughesy, We Have A Problem.

In a short preview, host Hughesy tells guest Tom Ballard that he and his mates spent a wild night at a ‘men’s club’ surrounded by ‘a lot of women,’ with festivities reportedly wrapping up at 4am the following morning.

The ‘best night of his life’ became ‘a little bit of a sore point’ between the newlyweds, he told news.com.au, when just six weeks later it hit another nerve.

The couple were watching Eddie McGuire’s short-lived TV game show, 1 vs. 100, when lo-and-behold, the very same woman appeared on the screen as a contestant.

“It ended up on a TV show because one of the strippers was on Eddie Mcguire’s quiz show and she actually said to Australia via Channel Nine, ‘I just danced at Dave Hughes’ bucks party,’” he says in the clip.

“And I was sitting at home with my new wife going, ‘Wrong answer, Eddie’.”

Needless to say, Holly was less than impressed with the stripper’s on-air admission.

“She wasn’t rapt,” he told news.com.au.

Bedroom ‘game-changer’

News of Hughesy’s stripper stitch-up comes just days after he shared an X-rated detail about he and his wife’s sex life on live radio.

“Being a vegan or plant-based is a game-changer in the bedroom,” Hughesy boldly declared on Hughesy & Ed.

Schoolteacher Holly, who had phoned in to comment on her husband’s racy claims, sternly pointed out that public discussions of their escapades between the sheets were strictly off-limits.

Hughesy, We Have A Problem airs 9pm tonight on Channel 10.
