Rachel Weisz was noticeably absent from the Golden Globes last night — but Daniel Craig is sharing the sweet reason why.

The Queer actor, 56, spoke with Extra ahead of the ceremony and was asked whether his wife was along with him for the evening. "She's not, no," Craig responded. "She's getting our little one back in school."

Weisz, 54, and Craig are parents to daughter Grace, whom they welcomed in 2018. Craig is also dad to daughter Ella, 33, whom he shares with ex-wife Fiona London, while Weisz is mom to a son who was born in 2006, whom she shares with ex Darren Aronofsky.

In November, Craig spoke to The New York Times about his movie Queer, sharing that although starring as James Bond in the Bond franchise gave him the flexibility to choose certain jobs, now that he's done with the role he's had to be more open with his career.

Noting that he has a young child at home, Craig shared that he thinks about his daughter Grace as he decides what roles to consider.

"I've got a 6-year-old at home," said the actor. "And I don't want to be away from home as much as I have in the past."

While appearing on a 2023 episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Weisz shared that her then-4-year-old daughter got a little too "obsessed" with Star Wars after watching it with her father.

"It was like a father-daughter bonding experience, and they started on the original ones," Weisz told host Stephen Colbert. "I'm not that deep into it, but my daughter got obsessed. She kept saying, 'Google this. Google this: What does Darth Vader look like under his mask?'"

"She wants to know everything," she added. "She's obsessed with the mythology and these characters are so real for her."
