The 'Dangerous' New Costco Item That Shoppers are Running to Buy

It’s hard to name a better combo than bread and cheese. One might even go as far as to say they belong together. Rich, complex cheese like a well-aged cheddar, creamy mozz or brie placed onto a piece of expertly toasted bread, finished with a final flourish of coarse salt, balsamic glaze, or honey...it's a dream. And like Beyoncé and Jay Z, the two are truly a match made in heaven.

Of course, just because they go together like Taylor and Travis, though, it doesn’t mean the iconic duo that is bread and cheese doesn’t deserve an upgrade now and then. As good as they are already, it’s hard to imagine what new way you could enjoy the pairing. That was until Costco entered the chat.

As if our carts weren’t already overflowing with must-haves, we found a way to squeeze into our budget, the warehouse giant just added one more amazing find that takes bread and cheese and turns it on its head.

Instagrammer @thecostcoman spotted boxes of the Maison Defroidmont Mini French Brioches filled with Boursin Gournay Cheese in Costco’s famous freezer section, and we’re racing to grab a couple of boxes for our next holiday gathering. Inside each package, you’ll find 12 delightfully buttery miniature brioche loaves, filled with smooth and creamy garlic and herb Boursin cheese. To heat them up, all it takes is about 6 to 7 minutes in the oven or air fryer and you’re on your way to the best thing since cheese on toast in no time.

In terms of price, you can find boxes of this deliciously cheesy appetizer for just $13.99, although prices may vary based on where you shop. If you’re following along at home, that works out to just about $1.65 per roll. Meaning, you could stock up on boxes to last the entire holiday season.

As excited as we are about these delicious morsels of carb-y, cheesy goodness, a few fans didn’t seem as impressed with some saying, “They are GROSS!!! 😭 I’ll stick to my bagel with Boursin.”

Of course, you’re entitled to your own opinion, but you never know until you try.
