Damian Lewis and Kelly Macdonald Are Perfectly Normal Suburban Vampires in “The Radleys” Trailer (Exclusive)

'The Radleys' is based on a novel by Matt Haig

Damian Lewis and Kelly Macdonald are sinking their teeth into a strange suburban lifestyle.

PEOPLE has the exclusive first trailer for The Radleys, which stars Lewis, 53, and Macdonald, 48, as parents Peter and Helen Radley who happen to also be vampires — and must reveal their family's secret to their teens.

The trailer teases audiences by showing the characters' daughter Clara (Bo Bragason) fending off threatening advances from a boy in the woods. To her own surprise, she kills him and feeds on his blood.

After the death, the parents reveal to Clara and son Rowan (Harry Baxendale) that the whole family are vampires who try to live normal lives, and Lewis' character calls his estranged brother Will (also played by Lewis) to help their daughter avoid the authorities.

According to a synopsis, the Radleys are "a seemingly average suburban family with a juicy secret: they are vampires."

"In the light of day, the Radleys might seem normal, but they can only abstain from their natural cravings for so long until the bloody truth bubbles to the surface and turns their quiet country life upside down."
