The Internet’s Reaction To Luigi Mangione’s Alleged Sex Tapes Was Probably Not What The Daily Mail Expected

Now, in case you've never heard of them, the Daily Mail is a tabloid newspaper based in the UK that primarily focuses on pushing right-wing/conservative politics, having its heads up the Royals' asses, and absolutely losing its shit anytime Meghan Markle breathes.

The Daily Mail, much like other right-wing media outlets, has unsurprisingly framed the Luigi Mangione case through a heavily biased lens. While no one is defending Luigi's actions, his alleged killing of the UnitedHealthcare CEO in Manhattan has sparked a rare moment of unity across the political spectrum. Both the left and the right have found common ground in their deep-seated issues within the healthcare industry.

On Monday, the Daily Mail US tweeted out a story alleging that Luigi had filmed 20 sex tapes. They sourced RadorOnline, a tabloid outlet that says an alleged unnamed friend provided them with that information.

The inaccuracy of the tweet was even fact-checked by X:

Now, the Daily Mail really thought they were doing something here in trying to sex shame him. However, this is 2025, and this isn't a taboo in an era of smartphones. A lot of adults have filmed themselves or photographed themselves doing sexual things. Needless to say, the internet had the opposite reaction to what the Daily Mail intended. I rounded up some Twitter (X) reactions to the very alleged rumors that Luigi has sex tapes:
