Craig’s Teams Up With Robert Downey Jr.’s Book ‘Cool Food’ for Earth Day
Craig’s, the popular American cuisine restaurant in Los Angeles, is teaming up with “Cool Food,” the recent book co-written by Oscar winner Robert Downey Jr., in honor of Earth Day.
Craig’s will feature a recipe from “Cool Food: Erasing Your Carbon Footprint One Bite at a Time” for the entirety of Earth Week, which runs from Sunday, April 21, to Sunday, April 28, this month. Downry Jr. co-authored the book with New York Times best-selling author and journalist Thomas Kostigen. Their book was published on January 23 and became a New York Times and USA Today bestseller.
The fruit and nut salad with a chili lime dressing recipe from “Cool Food” will be featured at Craig’s. The recipe can be seen below.
“Cool Food” is a “practical and easily digestible guide to fighting climate change through an enjoyable topic that unifies us all: food.”
“What we eat matters—to us, and to the planet,” the book’s description reads. “’Cool Food’ is a game-changing new food category and way of thinking that can help fix the climate.”
“The food-climate nexus holds the biggest potential for change in human history,” said Kostigen in a statement for the book’s release. “And we’ve taken a completely new and different approach to making this subject accessible and appealing to people. It’s empowering, prescriptive, and a blast to read.”
After winning his first Oscar for Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer,” Downey Jr. can now be seen starring in HBO’s series “The Sympathizer.”
