Couple with no 'side of the bed' cause internet meltdown
If you’re in a relationship, you’ll know how easy it is to slip into an everyday routine for things like who cooks on what night of the week, who takes out the rubbish, and who sleeps on which side of the bed.
However, the internet has been thrown into disarray after Jeff Stein, a reporter from The Washington Post, revealed his friends, who are in a couple, throw caution to the wind and sleep on a different sides of the bed every night.
Several months ago, a couple we are friends with said they don’t sleep on the same side of the bed every night. As in, every night when they get into bed, they don’t know who will sleep on which side. Still blows my mind

“Several months ago, a couple we are friends with said they don’t sleep on the same side of the bed every night. As in, every night when they get into bed, they don’t know who will sleep on which side. Still blows my mind,” Jeff wrote on Twitter.
He went to say that the couple only has one bedside table and they share it between them. However, there is a window ledge on the other side of the bed for the person sleeping on that side to put a drink on.
Needless to say, people were thoroughly shocked at the revelation, with Jeff’s tweet receiving over 80,000 likes.
Some people simply commented saying ‘madness’, while another person said they thought they were being progressive by swapping sides when they stay in hotel rooms.
“Who the F do these people think they are? They think they fun and interesting because they change their sleeping side every night? Be boring and predictable like the rest of us and pick a side,” one person said.
“Dear g-d that’s awful. I would be constantly falling out of bed,” another person said.

I’m anxious just reading this. I sleep alone in a California King & still wouldn’t dream of sleeping on the other side of it.

At home, in a hotel, in a tent . . . my wife ”makes” me sleep on the side of the bed closest to the door. This way, the mass murderer gets to me first. Tonight, we’ll get crazy and switch sides. Please no murderers, I’d never live that one down.

I typically sleep with a cat, and even we have usual sides.

Do they keep the same pillow and move it to the new side?

I sent my husband this tweet and asked him what he’d do if I got into bed on his side. His response? “I will move you.”
