Costco’s 'Yummy' New Snack Has Shoppers 'Looking for These' Everywhere

To know me is to know just how much I love spicy food. I’ve been known to nosh on chiles straight out of the jar and freshly sliced serranos ad nauseum. My fridge is full of hot sauces in varying heat levels, including a bottle of Elijah’s Xtreme Regret Reserve (spoiler: it’s hot). I even tackled the painful challenge of trying Taco’s Mac aptly named "Death" wings when I was a teen, albeit with the help of a few baskets of fries and my dad’s unflinching support. There’s a rush that comes with the burn that’s almost indescribable, and while I’m not quite the hothead that I used to be, I still enjoy a kick in the tastebuds now and again.

A drizzle of YellowBird’s insanely-flavorful (and hot) Garlic Shiitake Hot Sauce over perfectly jammy eggs, a sprinkle of Szechuan peppercorns added to the crust of a well-cooked peppered-crusted steak, the slow burn of chili crisp spooned into a bowl of ramen—the whole spicy enchilada. Of course, I’m not the only heat seeker constantly chasing the next tongue-numbing, gut-warming rush. Consumers the whole world over are shifting toward spicier, more flavorful dishes with layers of flavor that keep you reaching for bite after bite, and brands like Moe’s and KFC are starting to take notice.

Soban Spicy Ramen Crunch can be found in 21-pouch boxes at Costco stores for a meager $6.69. Each pouch features crunchy dried ramen noodles generously dusted with a spicy coating that promises to trip some alarms.

Shoppers who have tried the snack say, “It’s so yummy but spicyyyyy lol” which immediately piques my interest to try it. Beyond just enjoying as is, you could crumble these up for a salad, grind them into a coating for crispy chicken or sprinkle them on top of ramen for an ultra-meta meal. Suddenly, I feel the urge to eat an entire jar of jalapeños. Anyone else?
