Starting next week, the Swiss chocolate brand’s Milk Chocolate Truffles will be available for purchase exclusively at Costco, as confirmed by a Nov. 12 press release. While the brand’s parent company, Mondelez International, previously made the treat available last year in the United Kingdom, Toblerone’s Milk Chocolate Truffles haven’t previously been available to chocolate lovers in the U.S., Allrecipes reported earlier this month.
Boxes of Milk Chocolate Truffles will include more than 50 individually-wrapped pieces. The boxes are expected to be priced at $11.99 in Costco stores and on the warehouse club’s website. The chocolate treats will be available for customers to purchase starting on Monday, Nov. 25.
An item listing for the 17.4-ounce Toblerone gift box on Costco’s website describes the Milk Chocolate Truffles as containing “a milk chocolate shell and a smooth and velvety chocolatey center with crunchy bits of honey and almond nougat.”
The listing goes on to explain that each individual chocolate truffle is “wrapped in vibrant gold foil and packaged in an elegant box that's perfect as a gift for someone special or as sweet treats to enjoy on your own.”
The holidays are “a wonderful time to bring the gift of Toblerone Truffles to U.S. consumers,” Mondelez International Senior Brand Manager of U.S. Chocolate Candyce Jefferson said in a statement included in the brand’s press release. "With Toblerone's signature flavor blended as a truffle in the iconic shape of a diamond, Toblerone Truffles will elevate any holiday occasion."
