This one is probably Starbucks' easiest recipe to date. It only requires three ingredients to make this rich and soothing vanilla crème steamer. And it's made right on the stove in about five minutes. A note about this delicious recipe: This one does not contain any coffee or espresso. Sometimes, it's not the right time for coffee, but you are still craving a warm, creamy beverage. This is it! After you make one for yourself, sit down and really take the time to enjoy every last sip.

How Many Calories Are in a Starbucks Vanilla Crème Steamer?

There are 350 calories in an original Starbucks Vanilla Crème Steamer using 2% milk and their vanilla syrup. But my version using almond milk clocks in at 190 calories. If you choose to use 2% milk with DaVinci Gourmet Classic Coffee Vanilla Syrup or Torani Vanilla Syrup, the calories would be 272.

Ingredients in a Starbucks Vanilla Crème Steamer

Pam Beth

Pam Beth

 • 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk or milk of choice

 • 4 tablespoons vanilla syrup (I use Torani, you can also use DaVinci gourmet vanilla syrup)

 • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 • 1 tablespoon sugar or no-calorie sugar, optional (I didn't use any in this recipe)

 • 4 tablespoons Reddi-whip aerosol whipped cream, optional (calories include this ingredient)

How To Make a Starbucks Vanilla Crème Steamer

1. Heat the milk to a simmer over medium heat in a small or medium saucepan. The milk will start to steam with small bubbles around the edges of the pan. This should take about 1 to 2 minutes. Stir so the milk does not come to a boil. Once you see it steam and small bubbles pop up, remove the pan from the heat.

2. Stir in the vanilla extract and vanilla syrup. If you are using granulated sugar, add that now too. Whisk the milk mixture for about 15 to 20 seconds. It may get a little frothy.
