Colleen Hoover revives Instagram, scrubs content with Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni

Colleen Hoover has returned to Instagram.

The best-selling author turned the lights back on on her account Wednesday, after deactivating it briefly amid the legal firestorm surrounding a recent film adaptation of her book "It Ends With Us."

Notably, many of the posts featuring Blake Lively or Justin Baldoni, who starred in the film and have since accused one another of misbehavior, taking their dispute to several different courts, were gone.

The account had been scrubbed of any evidence of the promotional tour for the film, which took place last summer. The only mention of the film can be found further down in a post from July 7, 2023, that features a The Hollywood Reporter headline about the movie getting a release date.

A widely popular novel and highly anticipated movie, "It Ends With Us" follows the story of Lily Bloom, a florist, whose romance with surgeon Ryle Kincaid turns abusive. Aimed at telling a more personal, nuanced tale of domestic abuse, the film's message has been instead consumed by the drama surrounding its lead actors.

After rumors swirled about a possible Baldoni-Lively feud, and the internet quickly turned on Lively, the former "Gossip Girl" star filed a complaint with the California civil rights division claiming Baldoni had sexually harassed her on set. Then, to prevent her from speaking out, she alleges Baldoni oversaw a highly orchestrated smear campaign meant to "bury" her.

Baldoni has denied these claims and levied some of his own, alleging that Lively went rogue during filming, made he own cut of the movie and used her star power (along with that of her husband Ryan Reynolds) to intimidate him.

Hoover previously voiced support for Lively. "@blakelively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met," Hoover wrote in a story post on Instagram. "Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt."

The two are set to go to trial in New York for one of Baldon's counter-suits in March 2026.
