Coles takes on Aldi and Kmart with must-have bouclé furniture: 'Love it'

The luxe new range is in stores and online now.

Coles is taking on budget retailers Aldi and Kmart, launching a luxe homewares range that includes highly coveted bouclé pieces. In stores and online from today, the new Home Style range includes affordable furniture starting from $39.99 and home decor from just $6.99.

If you're new to Coles' Best Buys, it's pretty simple; it's the store's answer to Aldi's Special Buys weekly range and offers everything from air fryers and iPhones to fitness gear and homewares. As with Aldi, shoppers can't get enough of the deals, with past releases often selling out within a matter of hours.

Getting in ahead of Aldi's March 15 Special Buys release, which includes a range of kitchen, bathroom and bedroom furniture, the latest Coles Best Buys focus on "decorating on a budget".

What's on offer?

Taking on minimalistic and Scandinavian design themes, the 23-piece Coles range features luxurious textures including bouclé and terrazzo. Amongst the most affordable furniture pieces is the Marketlane Bouclé Occasional Chair for just $49.99, the Marketlane Bouclé Ottoman for $39.99 and the Marketlane Metal Trolley for $59.99.

Bargain hunters are loving the range, with dozens of shoppers already commenting on their finds across the store on social media. "Love it! Love the ottoman," one person wrote on Instagram, with another describing the pieces as "so nice!"

Coles has even begun selling home storage items with a three-pack of nesting storage baskets available for $29.99.

The move comes as the retailer recognises shoppers are spending more time at home. "We know customers are spending more time at home, and they want to make it a comfortable space, perfect for having friends over or relaxing with the family," said Coles General Manager for Health and Home, Deb Galle. "For our new Coles Best Buys homewares range, we wanted to bring the latest in home décor trends and innovation to our customers - plus add a little luxury for less."

The store is also offering online-only exclusives including neon light boxes for $29.99, rainbow letter and pegboard for $10.99, and telescope with tripod for $49.99.
