Cocker Spaniel's Treat-Time Dance Radiates Positive Energy

It practically goes without saying that most of our pets are thrilled when treat time comes around. Sure, there are pups out there who aren't very food motivated, but a treat is a treat — who in their right mind is gonna turn that down? Every dog is going to show how pleased they are to have a treat in a different way. Some dogs get super excited, while others far prefer to politely take their treat into another room to eat it alone (or in their comfort of their bed). It happens. I get it.

But I've never seen a dog show enthusiasm in a way that is quite like what this Cocker Spaniel is doing in the video below. No matter what, there is absolutely no mistaking how excited she is about this treat.

This video shared by @molly.the.adorable.cocker on Instagram shows the cutest Cocker Spaniel, Molly, at treat time, both as a puppy and now as a full time dog.

"Will she still do her 'what the heck' dance when she grows up?" Molly's mom asks at the beginning of the video, sharing footage of her as a puppy, prancing around the kitchen, doing a little dance before she scarfs down her treat. She's so cute!

Fortunately, the answer to that question is yes. The next clip is a fully grown Molly, still doing the exact same dance at treat time. Some things never change.

Sometimes, when you're that happy, you have to find a way to show it... and Molly found the cutest way.

Of course, commenters are gushing over her dance in the video, with more than one applauding her riverdance skills. She's got the moves for sure.

Cocker Spaniels Have a Lot of Energy

It's not just Molly who has to get all of her overflowing excitement out — as a breed, Cocker Spaniels are known for having high energy levels like this, even when they're not puppies anymore.

According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), since Cocker Spaniels are working dogs, not only are they energetic, but they're also always looking for somewhere to put that energy. They will do well with long walks at a brisk pace, especially since they enjoy quality time with their favorite humans.

For this reason, these are also great dogs for families with kids; having a built in playmate is going to be great for them and the little one (and you as their parent, too, if you're getting tired of taking them out for walks multiple times a day).

Here's hoping that Molly keeps dancing forever. She's too talented to ever stop!
