William furious at Harry's 'disrespectful' reply to Queen

A royal insider has revealed the one move by Prince Harry that left his brother Prince William furious, after it completely 'blindsided' the Queen.

The moment, when Harry and Meghan decided to set up the Sussex Royal brand after announcing they would be stepping down as senior royals in early 2020, "was it" for the Duke of Cambridge.

The brothers attempted to clear the air after the Sandringham summit, where Harry and Meghan's leaving deal was negotiated, but they "did not part shores as friends", according to The Sunday Times.

"What upset William the most was Harry and Meghan’s surprise launch of their 'Sussex Royal' website before the summit, which featured their blueprint wish of a part-time, commercial royal future," The Times' royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah wrote.

The Queen told the couple they could no longer use 'royal' in their private ventures, with the pair reportedly hitting back in a statement that read, "There is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy … over the use of the word 'Royal' overseas."

"That was it for William, he felt they’d blindsided the Queen in such an insulting and disrespectful way," the insider claimed.

Another source told the publication that William "definitely feels the pressure now it’s all on him – his future looks different because of his brother’s choices, it’s not easy".

Something else that has reportedly not sat well with the Duke of Cambridge, was the recent claims by Harry, that his brother and their father Prince Charles are "trapped" in the system of the British monarchy.

Instead, William says he has "accepted" his role and "the path set for him", according to sources.

"He is very much his grandmother's grandson in that respect of duty and service," a source told the publication.

Insiders rubbished claims William is "trapped", saying that is "way off the mark".

They added, "He has a path set for him and he's completely accepting of his role."

The Duke of Sussex told Oprah Winfrey, "I myself was trapped. I didn’t see a way out. I was trapped but I didn’t know I was trapped.

"Trapped within the system, like the rest of my family are. My father and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave."

Friends of William told the Sunday Times his "head is all over the place" and he's still reeling from the couple's claims.

However, they added the situation is still "raw" and William wants to repair his relationship with Harry "in time".

A former royal aide has spoken of how William has been left with "the absence of his brother" since Harry moved to the US.

"Once he got over the anger of how things happened, he was left with the absence of his brother," they said.

"They shared everything about their lives, an office, a foundation, meetings together most days and there was a lot of fun along the way. He'll miss it forever."

It comes after Gayle King claimed Harry and William had finally spoken after the Oprah interview, but the "conversations were not productive".
