Chrissie Swan opens up about 'enormous' lifestyle change

Chrissie Swan has opened up about one of the secrets behind her incredible transformation, but stresses she's not going to start telling people what she eats in a day.

In an interview with The Australian Women's Weekly, the radio presenter opened up about some of the "enormous" lifestyle changes she made, admitting Melbourne's 112-day lockdown was the catalyst for her fitness kick.

"We couldn't go out to dinner, we couldn't go to a friend's house, they couldn't come to us, we couldn't go outside five kilometres. All we could do was walk, and so that's what I did," she told the publication, sharing that she now walks for two hours a day.

Meditation also became a big part of her routine to help improve her physical and mental health during the lockdown.

"I'm not going to talk about the size of my a**e. I'm not going to tell you what I eat in a day. Because I've read those stories and they make me feel bad about myself," she added.

The former Celebrity MasterChef Australia star has been sharing her walking adventures with her social media followers, recently smashing out a 10km walk in a chic activewear set from STAX.

Earlier this year, Chrissie revealed on The Project she'd stopped drinking nine months earlier and had been sober ever since.

At the time she said she'd "recommend it" to others after not feeling her best during the first lockdown in Melbourne last year.

"I really am reticent to be the poster girl for sobriety because it was a decision I made for myself after giving it a fair nudge in the first lockdown last year," she told her co-hosts.

"If you're thinking, 'Oh, maybe I'm drinking a bit much or it's not helping me anymore', I think that's the biggest thing I've taken from it, is that it didn't help."

She added that the alcohol increased her feelings of anxiety in relation to the pandemic and meant she wasn't sleeping properly.

"I really noticed a huge difference in my day-to-day positivity and ability to deal with the pandemic and the ongoing changes to literally every part of our lives if I'm clear minded, and for me it's been fantastic, a fantastic choice," she added.

In January, she also shared an inspiring message after revealing her transformation after quitting alcohol and embracing a healthier lifestyle.

The TV presenter took to Instagram to post a stunning snap of herself sitting on the beach in a white swimsuit and sunglasses, while smiling at the camera.
