The actor, who was engaged to Paris Hilton in 2018, was allegedly "foaming at the mouth" and under the influence of drugs when he was arrested on Dec. 4
Chris Zylka has turned himself into police more than 10 days after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Monday, Dec. 16, the actor appeared in Warren Municipal Court with his attorney Jeffrey Goodman and turned himself in, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE.
Zylka, 39, is facing two felony and three misdemeanor charges related to a Dec. 4 incident where police were called after he made various attempts to get into people's cars in the middle of the road, per the police report.
Authorities said Zylka — who was previously in an 11-month engagement with Paris Hilton in 2018 — was "foaming at the mouth" and appeared to be under the influence of drugs in "some sort of excited delirium state."
When police tried to take him into custody, the 10 Things I Hate About You alum allegedly struggled, and three officers were required to get him handcuffed. Paramedics arrived on the scene and administered ketamine to "subdue" him.
After appearing in court on Dec. 16, four of the five warrants for Zylka's arrest were recalled, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE.
Three of the six charges are also now being contested, including the two felony charges for assault and attempt to commit an offense and the misdemeanor charge for disorderly conduct. The misdemeanor charges for resisting arrest and aggravated menacing have not been contested.
