Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt in Ray-Ban and Meta commercialChris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth have joined forces as two of four members of the Chris club (the others are Chris Pine and Chris Evans) to induct a new member.
In a new commercial for Ray-Ban and Meta's AI-powered Meta Glasses, is shown looking at the Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan's 2019 artwork "Comedian," which consists of a banana duct-taped to a wall. "Hey Meta, what is this artwork?" he asks, in a stately, softly lit room that appears to be an art gallery.
When Pratt notices his fellow Chris munching on said banana moments later, he panics. "That's a $6.2 million banana!" he proclaims with a mischievous half-smile, and Hemsworth replies, "Are you kidding?" Pratt declares, "We need to find you another banana," and the chase is on.
The pair are shown rifling through a refrigerator full of leafy greens, giving the viewer their first indication they may not be in a gallery after all. Enter Kris Jenner, who announces her presence with a stern, "Gentlemen?" She asks them, incredulously, "Who eats art?" They coach her to add "Hey Meta" before her query, prompting her to deliver the ad's closing zinger: "Hey Meta, call my lawyer."

Kris Jenner in Ray-Ban and Meta commercialThere had been sporadic online discussion of an unofficial "club" of four high-profile Hollywood actors who happen to be named Chris prior to 2020. But in October that year, an X post featuring pictures of each Chris with the caption "one has to go" kickstarted a spirited debate and solidified the grouping as a meme.
Pratt, who got his start on Parks and Recreation as the loveable goofball Andy Dwyer, but who has since remade himself as an athletic leading man, was overwhelmingly declared the "worst Chris," due to his affiliation with Hillsong Church, whose key members have espoused anti-LGBTQ views. His Marvel colleagues even rushed to his defense, with Robert Downey Jr. calling Pratt "a real Christian who lives by principle" and Mark Ruffalo saying the actor is "as solid a man there is."
Pratt has nevertheless maintained as career as solid as Hemsworth's, the former anchoring both the Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World franchises and the latter, known famously as Marvel's Thor, recently appearing in two of the most popular films of the last year, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Transformers One.
