Chris Hemsworth looks totally unrecognisable in a hilarious new ad for his fitness app, Centr.
The usually beefed-up Byron Bay local has ditched his world-famous muscles in an effort to get everyday people to sign up for his fitness, nutrition and wellness app.
“If it’s results you wanna see my team is a-head of the game,” Chris captioned the ad.
In it, the 37-year-old Thor star can be seen with his head Photoshopped onto the bodies of other people, showing him practicing yoga, lifting weights and BBQing at the grill.
"I'll be honest, I only got this app in the first place because, well, it's Chris Hemsworth," Chris says in the ad.
“Obviously he's not the one doing the workouts but it's his team. So, it's like, basically the same thing."
"I know what you mean," Chris replies to himself. "I feel closer to Chris already."
Chris says in the ad it “took him a while to come around to the whole mindfulness part”, joking that you “can’t build muscle just by breathing right?”.
Another scene sees two Chris’ doing yoga together, with one turning to the other saying: "Hey, don't tell Chris, but I think I might like Luke better.”
It ends with one Chris saying to the other: “You know Chris Hemsworth's actually pretty average,” with the other saying: “Yeah it’s his team that’s awesome”.
"Hahah this is the best acting you’ve ever done ahha amazing," one person said.
"Absolutely hilarious Way to go," another person wrote, with another commenting: 'I was like Chris looks different but I don't know why hahaha."
Chris has just finished filming sci-fi thriller, Escape from Spiderhead, which was filmed on the Gold Coast and is now working on shooting the fourth instalment of Thor in Sydney.
“Lucky for all of us that it turned out that way, because I don't think we'd be shooting these films if we'd been anywhere else,” Chris recently told Men’s Health about Hollywood moving Down Under.
He also spoke about his intense fitness regime, saying that he likes to mix up his workouts.
“I speak to plenty of people who are like, ‘Oh, I just hate training’. I'm like, ‘What do you do?’ ‘Oh, I just run. But I just don't like running’. I'm like, ‘Don't run then!’ I don't run. I do a lot of different things. You've got to be an explorer in the world of fitness and exercise and constantly be on the lookout for something fresh.”
