Chris Hemsworth reveals huge life changes after Alzheimer's test result
The Hollywood star revealed in 2022 that he has an increased risk of being diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Chris Hemsworth has opened up about his lifestyle changes after discovering he could be prone to Alzheimer's disease.
The Hollywood heartthrob revealed in 2022 that he took a genetic test that showed he has two copies of the gene APOE e4 which is linked to an increased risk of being diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Speaking with Men's Health, Chris said the health findings have changed the way he lives and views his life.
The Thor star said he's overhauled his day-to-day routine in a bid to have more 'solitude' in his life, saying his shifting his focus to work on being more 'mindful'.
“I’ve always been pretty consistent with my exercise commitments, but lately I’ve really felt the importance of taking time for yourself without any outside voice or stimulation and making time for stillness,” he said in the interview.

This involves prioritising his sleep and taking regular ice baths to help his overall well-being.
"I’m lifting less frequently than I was and I’m incorporating more cardio and endurance workouts which I much prefer than heavy body-building style sessions," he shared.
Part of Chris' changes also include slowing down his workload schedule, though he's not looking to retire anytime soon.
Earlier this year, he spoke about the test warning triggering "something in me to want to take time off.

“I’ve been completing the things I was already contracted to do,” he said, adding that he plans to “go home and… to have a good chunk of time off and just simplify. Be with the kids, be with my wife.”
Chris shares three kids with his wife Elsa Pataky, with the family currently residing in Byron Bay.
