Chloe Fineman Did Parker Posey's Insane 'White Lotus' Accent During Last Night's 'SNL'
Ever since The White Lotus Season 3 premiered last month, one specific aspect of the HBO anthology's latest installment has captivated audiences — no, not the, er, brotherly love between Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola's characters, but the truly unhinged Carolina accent that star Parker Posey has adopted to portray their mother, Lorazepam-loving matriarch Victoria Ratliff.
Given how hilarious Posey's exaggerated Southern drawl is, it was only a matter of time for a cast member from Saturday Night Live to put their own spin on the fan favorite The White Lotus character, and Chloe Fineman did just that during last night's SNL, which was hosted by Anora star Mikey Madison with country singer Morgan Wallen as musical guest.
In a "Jury Duty" sketch, a no-nonsense judge (Ego Nwodim) interviews a group of candidates for jury selection. Of course, the participants get gradually stranger and stranger: Madison turns up as a Kardashians-adjacent "celebrity" (a.k.a. one of the people Caitlyn Jenner hit with her car), Emil Wakim returns as Luigi Mangione and Heidi Gardner as a woman sending him pics of her "spread posterior," and Marcello Hernández as pop singer Benson Boone, athletic cartwheels and sparkly jumpsuits and all.
But then SNL's Chloe Fineman addresses the judge as, well, "SNL's Chloe Fineman," offering up a spot-on impression of Parker Posey's Victoria Ratliff character as cause for her to be dismissed from jury duty. "No impressions in my courtroom!" Nwodim's justice orders, as Fineman is brutally carried out by the bailiff, screaming "Piper, no!", "Tsunami!" and "Lorazepam!" in her wake.
Now all we need is Posey herself to get a hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, stat!
