Yahoo Lifestyle Chloe Bailey Evokes Twisted, Rising Flames in Sculptural Gaurav Gupta Dress at 2025 NAACP Image Awards
Chloe Bailey made a statement on the red carpet at the NAACP Image Awards on Saturday in Los Angeles. Bailey helped announce the nominations in January and will be competing for Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album for her song “Boy Bye.”
On the red carpet, Bailey went over the top in a black Gaurav Gupta dress that featured a sculpted bodice and a high-reaching chest, extending beyond Bailey’s shoulders as well as a deep V neckline. Gupta has become known on red carpets for his sculpted and molded designs, often extending much beyond the wearer’s body. This look was no different.

Bailey was styled by Jason Rembert. The look featured elements of Gupta’s spring 2025 collection, which featured a variety of looks, some like Bailey’s, including one where “a deep ochre satin twisted to create structured bodices evoking rising flames.”
Rembert notably works with LAdrien Brody, Queen Latifah and Peyton List. In the past, he has put Bailey in brands like Ferragamo, Donna Karan as well as Tony Ward.
Last year, Bailey fronted Yitty’s Nearly Naked campaign. “I love Yitty shapewear because it enhances the best parts of ourselves,” Bailey said in a statement at the time. “It doesn’t change who we are, it just makes the best parts shine. I especially love the Nearly Naked collection because it hugs all the right places, it cinches the waist and makes the booty pop. When I put on my Yitty underneath all my stage outfits, I feel like I’m ready to conquer the world like a superhero.”
