There’s nothing like a tried-and-true crunchy, salty snack. Potato chips, pretzels, and tortilla chips are all at the top of the list of pop-em-in-your-mouth and crunch away while you’re watching TV, playing video games, or just hanging with your family and friends. But there are so many choices in each of those categories and those choices seemingly expand exponentially.

Just think about the wall of pretzel brands at the grocery store, which makes it almost impossible to pick just one bag. Then there's the impressively endless selection of tortilla chips, from Doritos to Tostitos. But when it comes to cheesy crackers, the options aren’t as plentiful. Goldfish may come to mind, but Cheez-It, a brand that's been around for more than a century, is probably the most popular maker of cheesy crackers.

The small square cracker made with real cheese has had many flavors over the years. While many fans stay loyal to its Original flavor, that doesn't mean the brand doesn't love to put out limited edition varieties that stretch our imagination and taste buds when it comes to cheese crackers. Now, Cheez-It has released a new spicy variation of its classic cracker—but only for a limited time.

Cheez-It's new variety combines its classic cheese flavor with spicy jalapeño. While we haven’t seen a lot of buzz about these peppery snacks just yet, what we have heard is mostly positive.

One review on the Target website said the snacks have “amazing flavor to them and if you like pepper jack or hot n spicy, you’ll love these." Another fan simply advised, “If you love jalapeño try them!”

Honestly? That’s good enough for us. Cheez-It's new flavor is only available at Kroger, Walmart, and Target, so if we see a box at any of those stores, you bet we’re going to snag one to devour while hunkered down on the couch, covered in blankets, bingeing some of our favorite shows. That’s pretty much what a cold January evening is made for, right?
