Cheetos Fans Divided on Returning Flavor: 'Wish They Were the Puffs'
Cheetos has brought back a discontinued flavor, but fans aren’t as thrilled about the update from the snack food brand as they have been for other launches.
It all started when popular food blogger Snackolator revealed that Cheetos has revived the Nashville Hot flavor.

The food influencer shared the news on Jan. 18, noting that a bag of the spicy Cheetos was “Spotted at Dollar General- might be exclusive to them so be on the lookout.”

They then asked their followers if they were “excited for this flavor to return,” prompting mixed reactions.
“I remember these from 2020/2021,” said one fan before declaring that they were “not bad.” Another fan seemed ambivalent about them too, commenting, “They’re ok but way to [sic] salty.”
Other fans bemoaned the limited availability, writing, “I’m in Nashville and I’ve NEVER seen these.”
Still more used the comments section to gripe, not about the Nashville Hot flavor, but to demand the return of other flavors. “Bring back sweet Carolina reaper,” wrote one fan, while another chimed in to say that they were “Still waiting on the dill pickle ones.”
A third commenter wrote, “Man bring the honey bbq cheetos puffs back😩,” and another person agreed, not on the flavor, but on the shape. “I wish they were the puffs,” they said about the Nashville Hot flavor.
While there’s no word on if Nashville Hot will come in that shape, another popular flavor made a comeback this week in puff form.
On Monday, Frito-Lay announced that it was reviving the Cheetos Puffs Cheese Pizza. It combines “elements of a classic cheese pizza,” including cheese, tomato flavor, “and herbaceous notes of oregano and Italian seasoning,” according to an official statement shared with Parade.
